You know the saying “Everything’s coming up roses?” This summer I’d like to say “Everything’s coming up lemons!” Do you know what I love most about this trend? After a tumultuous year and a half between Covid and Economic trials, and Political unrest we have all seemed to make lemonade out of the lemons life has handed us.
I love the simple beauty of the lemon and it reminds me of the lemon tree that used to sit in the front of my grandmother’s house. There’s nothing like going out to the front, picking lemons, then making your own fresh lemonade. My cousins and I used to put lime salt on them and lick them as well. As a southern California native, I never realized how much I took lemon trees for granted until moving to different parts of the country and paying $1 for 2 lemons!
I created this simple front door lemon wreath in about 10 minutes. It’s easy, no frills, and didn’t require a lot of supplies. It added just the right pop of color that my entryway needed.
